Recently, well-known leaker Sonny Dickson shared a tweet on the X platform, revealing a series of mock-up photos of the upcoming Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max. The highlight of these images is the introduction of a new bronze color option.
Currently, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is available in four colors: natural titanium, blue titanium, white titanium, and black titanium. If the iPhone 16 Pro Max adds the bronze color, it is likely to replace the blue titanium option.
Foreign media have already created high-resolution renderings of the iPhone 16 Pro Max in the new bronze color, along with hands-on images of the mock-up. Let's take a closer look.
According to previous leaks, the most significant change in the iPhone 16 series compared to the previous generation is the adoption of a vertically aligned rear camera setup. The series will include standard, Plus, Pro, and Pro Max models. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will be equipped with the A18 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 60Hz refresh rate display. They will support spatial video recording and feature an Action Button.
On the other hand, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will come with the A18 Pro processor, a 120Hz dual-layer OLED display, 8GB of RAM, thinner bezels, enhanced camera capabilities, and larger batteries. This upgrade marks the end of the 6GB RAM era for the entire iPhone lineup.
One of the major changes in the A18 series chip is the use of an "upgraded Neural Engine," with a significant increase in the number of built-in cores, leading to exponential growth in computing power and AI performance. The upgraded Neural Engine will dramatically enhance the artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities of the iPhone 16.
The main changes for the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max are in screen size, with displays measuring 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively, compared to the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, which are 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches. The iPhone 16 Pro Max will become the largest iPhone ever.
In terms of charging, the iPhone 16 Pro Max will support 40W wired charging and 20W wireless charging. Its battery capacity will increase to 4,676mAh (compared to the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s 4,422mAh), making it the largest in the series. Additionally, the device is expected to offer up to 2TB of storage capacity.
