Toshiba shutdown effect NAND offer to see rise

Five factories of Toshiba Semiconductor (TMC), the world's second-largest storage NANDFlash manufacturer, have been interrupted due to the earthquake. Although Toshiba has not announced the damage, Japanese foreign investors and the industry have not been affected. Light, it is expected to reverse the original market wait-and-see attitude, making the demand for stocks enter the market one after another, prompting the price of NANDFlash for more than eight seasons to fall, and the rebound in the second half.

There are no manufacturers of NAND chips in Taiwan, but memory-related vendors such as Qunlian, Weigang, Transcend, Apacer, and Shiyan have NAND-related applications. As NAND market conditions are expected to turn, the relevant Taiwanese factories will also be exposed. In particular, the group associations that have previously announced that 趁 前 NAND NAND low-cost stockings will benefit more.

Japanese foreign investors believe that Toshiba Semiconductor has five production lines in NY2, Y3, Y4, Y5 and Y6 in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture, Japan, and discontinued production last week due to strong earthquakes. Toshiba Semiconductor's global NANDFlash market accounted for approximately 32% in the second quarter of this year, ranking second in the world, behind Samsung. The production of its five factories was affected, affecting the overall market supply.

Japanese brokers estimate that the strong earthquake in Japan last week caused the production of five factories in Toshiba Semiconductor's Mie Prefecture, Yokkaichi, to be affected, and the related effects should not be underestimated. Assuming that 50% of the wafers were damaged due to power outages, another 15% to 20% of the wafers must be reworked, which will affect the global NAND wafer supply by 2% to 3%. If the production is resumed after normal production time, the impact will be delayed. It will probably increase.
