Suntech enters Kazakhstan's photovoltaic market

Suntech successfully entered the Kazakhstan energy market through cooperation with Goldbeck SolarGmbH. As the first major project for Suntech to enter the Kazakhstan market, the Agadyr project used more than 150,000 high-efficiency polysilicon modules with a total capacity of 50MW. The Agadir Solar Power Station is located in Karaganda, Kazakhstan. It has a flat location, arid climate and excellent lighting conditions. The annual direct solar radiation duration is about 2,600 hours. However, the rainfall and humidity in the area are unstable, and the temperature change in a year reaches about 80 °C, which poses a great challenge to the operation and maintenance of the power station. Therefore, the key to the success of the project is the quality and service life of the components; Suntech's 12-year product warranty and 25-year linear warranty components are fully compliant with the project requirements. According to the Paris Climate Agreement, Kazakhstan is committed to reducing its carbon emissions by 15% in 2030 compared to 1990. In addition, Kazakhstan plans to make renewable energy account for half of its total energy consumption by 2050. The completion of the Agadir solar power station symbolizes an important step in the pursuit of energy self-sufficiency and renewable energy development in Karaganda and throughout Kazakhstan; Suntech will continue to work with GoldbeckSolar to help Kazakhstan and its surrounding markets renew their energy industry. And transform it from traditional energy to green energy.
