Samsung’s New Tri-Fold Smartphone Size Revealed, Expected to Launch in Q3 This Year

The cover display size of Samsung’s upcoming tri-fold smartphone has been revealed. According to a February 12 report by tech media outlet SamMobile, display analyst Ross Young stated that the cover screen of Samsung’s tri-fold device will measure 6.49 inches, which is nearly the same size as the cover display on the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. This suggests that Samsung may be moving away from the narrow-bezel displays used in the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and previous Galaxy Fold models.

Earlier this year, Samsung confirmed during the Galaxy S25 launch event that it is developing a tri-fold smartphone, revealing that several new smartphone models are currently in the works. Rumors suggest that the device will feature a 10-inch foldable display when fully unfolded and is expected to launch in Q3 of this year. The smartphone’s name has reportedly been revealed as "Galaxy G Fold."

Samsung has made multiple attempts in the foldable smartphone market, with models such as the Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip. The company has consistently focused on innovating and advancing foldable display technology to meet users’ demands for larger screens while maintaining portability.
