Report: Sony accounts for 50.1% of the global image sensor market share

According to a report by the Japanese research institute IHSMarkit, Sony accounted for 50.1% of the global CMOS sensor market share.



According to the report, in terms of shipments, Sony COMS has a market share of 50.1%, South Korea's Samsung ranks second with 20.5%, and US's Haowei Technology ranks third with 11.5%, the fourth and fifth respectively. It is the United States' ON Semiconductor and South Korea's SK Hynix, accounting for no more than 10%.

According to the report, among the global share of CMOS sensors, the top five accounted for 90%, and Sony has made Japan the largest share of CMOS sensors in the world.
