Qualcomm confirms that OnePlus Nord is equipped with Snapdragon 765G chip

The name of OnePlus' new mobile phone product line has been officially announced, and it is called OnePlus Nord. Then the question is coming, which chip will be used by OnePlus Nord's first mobile phone?

On this issue, Qualcomm's official Twitter gave the answer. OnePlus Nord's first mobile phone chip is Snapdragon 765G.

Let's understand the situation of the Snapdragon 765G chip:

The Snapdragon 765G uses a 7nm EUV process, which reduces power consumption by 35% compared to the 8nm process. It integrates the Snapdragon X52 modem and RF system. Compared with the earlier discrete 5G solution, the integration is higher, the volume is smaller, and the power consumption also has certain advantages.

In terms of performance, many modules of the Snapdragon 765G inherit the architecture of the flagship Snapdragon 865 in 2020, including: Adreno 620 graphics processor, HVX in DSP and HTA tensor accelerator.

In terms of CPU, Kryo475 has the same architecture as Snapdragon 855. Using the new eight-core Kryo475 processor, 1+1+6 three-cluster architecture. It is equipped with a 2.4GHz super large core, a 2.2GHz performance core, and six 1.8GHz efficiency cores.

The Snapdragon 765G graphics processor uses the new Adreno 620. Thanks to the same architecture as the new flagship Snapdragon 865, the Snapdragon 765G graphics computing performance is improved by nearly 40% compared to the Snapdragon 730.

With the support of the new fifth-generation AIEngine and the new 5G modem and radio frequency system, almost every mobile experience such as shooting, audio, voice, and gaming has been improved.

Overall, the comprehensive capabilities of the Snapdragon 765G are much higher than the previous Qualcomm 7 series chips, which can be called a generation of "5G God U".
