Huawei P30 pulls semiconductor supply chain Q2 shipment

Global smartphone growth has slowed down, but Huawei's shipments have once beat Apple to leap to second place, showing outstanding performance. In particular, Huawei's latest flagship P30 series has been officially unveiled and has received high attention from consumers around the world.

Huawei P30 series flagship model debuted in Paris at the end of March, equipped with the latest Kirin 980 processor and 10 times hybrid zoom lens, functional specifications directly to Apple iPhone. The aircraft is expected to be listed in early April, and Huawei semiconductor supply chain members are expected to start pulling goods in the second quarter, and the performance is expected to benefit.

Huawei's new mobile phones P30 and P30 Pro use 7 nanometers of the most advanced process, which makes the Kirin 980 transistor density increase by 1.6 times, allowing Huawei to launch Hi AI 2.0 artificial intelligence engine to run more powerful and smooth last year, with built-in dual NPU (Neural Network Processing Unit).

Taking image recognition as an example, the image recognition rate per minute of the previous generation Kirin 970 was 2,000, and the Kirin 980 was increased to 4,500. Hi AI 2.0 can support the physical recognition of outline and posture, and can perform video processing to achieve accurate pixel. Level division.

In addition to the processor, the P30 series also has amazing camera features, three main lenses plus a TOF lens, which is Huawei's first four-lens flagship machine. The P30 Pro uses a 40-megapixel standard lens and a 20-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. 8 million pixels five times telescope head, 10 times hybrid zoom comparable to the telescope function.

In addition, the P30 series also supports wireless charging and 40W super fast charging.

The industry estimates that the P30 Pro will ship about 4 million to 6 million units this year, which will drive the shipment of related component suppliers. TSMC, Wanghong, South Asia Branch, Riyueguang Investment Control, Huatong, Xinxing, Jingji, Hon Hai, Da Liguang, and Yaguang are among the top ten “P30 beneficiaries” in the market.

Huawei's mobile phone is equipped with HiSilicon's latest processor  Kirin 980, using TSMC's advanced 7nm process, and new products from various customers of TSMC will also be released. The operation is expected to rise quarter by quarter.

Huawei’s financial report last year was bright, and recently it has been actively building inventory to cope with the Sino-US trade war, and the supply chain is expected to benefit.
