Haisi’s order is fierce, and the mainland market accounts for 20% of TSMC’s revenue.

On October 28, according to the Taiwan Media Freedom Report, as 5G approached, Huawei actively deployed 5G base stations. Haisi's single-chip 7nm advanced process increased. Currently, the mainland market accounts for 20% of TSMC's single-quarter revenue.

In recent years, the mainland market accounted for more than TSMC's revenue, which was 18%, 17% and 20% in the first three quarters of this year. The third quarter was second only to 23% in the second quarter of last year, which was the second highest in the history.

However, in contrast, the United States remains the main battlefield of TSMC. In the first three quarters of this year, they were 60%, 61% and 60% respectively. In the case of a growing Sino-US trade war, the US market accounted for a decline in TSMC's revenue share from 69% in the fourth quarter of last year.

The report pointed out that the largest customer of TSMC's 7nm capacity is still Apple, and the second is Huawei HiSilicon. However, some people in the industry recently said that in terms of a wider range of advanced processes, HiSilicon has surpassed Apple and become the largest customer of TSMC.

TSMC currently dominates advanced process nodes below 10nm, but has not slacked off in research and development. Its 5nm process has entered the risk trial production stage and has a good yield performance. It will be planned to enter mass production in the first half of next year, and the 5nm chip density can be increased by 80% compared with the current 7nm process. The operation speed can also be increased by 20%.

In addition, according to the electronic Times report, TSMC 3 nanometers also came out early, located in Nanke 30 hectares of land, is expected to be 4 months ahead of schedule, is expected to complete the land at the end of this year.
