Today (16), the first Huawei UK and Ireland Developer Conference is held in London, the capital of the United Kingdom. During the event, Huawei announced a £ 20 million investment plan to encourage British and Irish developers to integrate applications into the HMS "Huawei Mobile Services" ecosystem.
At the Huawei Developer Conference last August, Huawei released the HMS ecosystem to the world for the first time. Huawei stated that it will fully open HMS core services, build an ecosystem with developers, and jointly bring a full-scenario smart experience to Huawei's end users worldwide.
Huawei Mobile Services (HMS), as a collection of open capabilities of Huawei cloud services, has become the preferred basic service for many application developers.
According to reports, Huawei's HMS system currently has 600 million active users in more than 170 countries, and 72 million European users, including the United Kingdom.
In May 2019, after the U.S. Department of Commerce included Huawei in its physical list for fear of national security, Google stopped providing GMS services to Huawei's new phones. Since then, Huawei has accelerated its own "Huawei Mobile Services" to improve user experience.
